The App is a measurement-calculation aid. It does not provide engineering, architectural, surveying, or contracting advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional. Framing layouts, stair geometry, load-bearing spans, and structural decisions must be reviewed by a qualified professional and your local authority having jurisdiction.
2. Measure twice, cut once — verify everything
Always verify every result against a physical tape measure before cutting, drilling, or building: dimensions, fractions, unit conversions, kerf deductions, center marks, baluster spacings, timber volumes, and diagonal checks. We are not liable for miscut materials, wasted stock, rework, project delays, or any resulting costs (see Terms §9–10).
3. Rounding and tolerances
The App rounds results to the tape-measure precision you select (down to 1/64″) and flags proud/scant deviations. Rounded values are approximations of exact arithmetic — for finish work and tight joinery, confirm which side of the line your tolerance falls on.
4. Building codes are reference only
Country/jurisdiction profiles, baluster gap limits, stud spacings, stair rules, and timber standards bundled in the App are general reference data that changes over time and varies by locality. Always confirm the governing code edition and requirements with your local building authority. Custom overrides you enter are your responsibility.
5. No guarantees
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or that any calculation suits a specific construction purpose. The App is provided "as is" (see Terms §9–10).
6. Third parties and external content
Field-guide content and code summaries in the App are general examples, not tailored advice. Apple/Google billing, system share targets, and any service you send exports to are outside our control and under their own terms.
7. Backups
You are solely responsible for keeping copies of calculation history and cut lists you need. Data loss from device failure, uninstallation, or accidental deletion is not recoverable by us — we hold no copy.
