Policy
Data we (the developer) collect
None. We do not collect, upload, or have access to any data you enter in the App. Everything stays in on-device storage until you choose to copy, export, or delete it.
On-device data
The App stores the following only on your device:
- Calculator expressions, results, and history / cut-list entries
- Preferences: country jurisdiction, language, fraction precision, unit, theme, keypad handedness, custom building-code overrides
- Ad-removal entitlement flag (whether you purchased Remove Ads)
Deleting history in the App deletes it from device storage. Uninstalling the App removes the local data (subject to OS behavior).
Permissions
The App requests no sensitive permissions — no contacts, camera, photos, location, or files access. Haptic feedback uses the device vibrator only at the moment you tap a key and collects nothing.
Advertising
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to request and display banner, native, interstitial, and app-open ads. The App does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and never asks to track you across other companies' apps and websites — there is nothing to decline, and every calculator feature including the Remove Ads purchase works without it.
Consent (EEA/UK): where required, the App shows Google's consent dialog before any ad request, and no ad SDK initializes until you have answered it. You can change ad personalization anytime in your Google Ad Settings (Android) or device privacy settings (iOS). Purchasing Remove Ads stops all ad requests entirely.
Google and its advertising partners may collect device identifiers, coarse location, and ad-interaction metrics to deliver, limit, or personalize ads according to your settings and Google's Privacy Policy. We never share your calculations, measurements, or history with advertisers.
In-app purchases (Remove Ads)
The optional one-time Remove Ads purchase (chronos_remove_ads) is processed directly by Apple (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We never receive or store your payment details. Related processing is governed by:
- Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google: policies.google.com/privacy
Exports, copying, and sharing
Cut-list copies and CSV exports are created at your request and go only where you send them (clipboard, your files, email, messenger, etc. via the system share sheet). We never see them.
Children
The App is a general construction/trade calculation utility, not directed at children under 13. Since all data stays on-device, we knowingly collect no children's data.
Your rights and choices
- Access / correct: open the App — everything is visible there.
- Delete: clear history in the App, or uninstall the App.
- Portability: copy the cut list or export CSV at any time.
- Ads: purchase Remove Ads, or manage ad personalization in your device / Google settings.
Regulatory requests (e.g. GDPR/CCPA): email team@chronos-labs.tech — note there is no server-side data for us to retrieve or erase.
Data retention
We retain nothing server-side. On-device data is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Security
Local data benefits from OS-level protections (device encryption, sandboxing, lock screen). No method is 100% secure — protect your device and keep copies of cut lists you cannot afford to lose.
Data safety declarations (store forms)
- Data collected by the developer: none.
- Data shared with third parties by the developer: none.
- Ad-related processing by Google AdMob and purchase processing by Apple/Google should be declared per their SDK guidance at submission time.
Changes
Material changes will be posted at chronos-labs.tech/fractioncalc/privacy-policy with a new effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
